I believe Paul Davidson, who regardless of your theoretical leanings must be
considered a foremost authority on Keynes, was excluded from the JEP's symposium
on Keynesian Economics.  Heilbroner has remarked that "the only thing the
_Journal of Economic Perspectives_ lacks is...perspectives."  Of course, by the
Krugman/de Long criteria, Heilbroner is not an "economist." No matter that he is
the best selling author in economics ever or more responsible than any other
individual for people majoring in economics and becoming economists.  But for
him being denied the title "economist" is not an insult and being responsible
for people becoming economists is not a recommendation.
