I think Raghu has a point. Growth is a concept (and certainly a word) that pretty much belongs to The Enemy. A, perhaps the, defining feature of capitalism in contnrast to every other actual or envisaged social system is that it cannot not Grow in Raghu's sense. That need to grow to survive is (I think) another way to express its necessary instability. I think we should leave them the word and articulate our goals in different vocabulary. For example, the Sandwichman's demand for shorter hours (which I agree whould be core to our program) fits uncomfortably into any vocabulary of growth, no matter how we attempt to define or redefine the term.
