This approach helps to minimize both the number of citations and the
possibility of misrepresenting any individual's opinions. It's also a
method of setting up a scarecrow in order to knock it down.

I've hit upon a better method for some of my work: I refer to
"textbook economics," referring to a specifically-defined set of
textbooks.
