The big question is whether this is Rubin's effort to reinvent and
repackage himself so that he can become Treasury Secretary in the new
government. We might see a bit more of this kind of thing over the next
few weeks.

In fact, Jared has hardly moved at all. Just some lip service to
reducing the deficit
(not eliminating it) when the economy is going swell.
