I don't remember Judis being a known associate (as it were) of O'Connor, though I could easily be wrong. He was a good friend of James Weinstein and had a regular column in Weinstein's then-weekly newspaper, IN THESE TIMES. When I read that paper, back in the 1970s, one could see Judis slowly shifting to the right.
