Greetings Economists,
It's just a quirky little way I started doing emails to the list a long time ago. I gradually realized a lot of people aren't economists on this list. Were you at the math institute (I've long forgotten what they call it) at Berkeley? Me, I'm a high school drop out self educated. Working class guy with some activist background. My skills are visual not writing. I like to say I'm a picture theorist. I'm also a depressed person with diabetes. So I'm significantly disabled.

A long time ago I decided that the U.S. would not be a better country without having a social revolution. Nothing happened of course since that time, but I still think the U.S. needs to change. Gradually I realized the left was not monolithic and it didn't matter I had variant views from others. I didn't have to conform to an agreement. I used to get angrier with people about disparate views, but I think that is my depression not political. So in the last ten years or so I've tried to accept differences and be more respectful.
thanks,
Doyle Saylor

Hey! I am a mathematician, not an economist, and I take pride in that.
