I was not there and don't recall the name either, although I visited a few friends at that institute a few times. The name could have been: Mathematical Sciences Research Institute or something, since remember something like MSRI. I learnt this finance/economics stuff on my own: I started doing this finance thing as a "client support" person in 1994, so I had ample time to waste, because there was not much to do. So I started reading. As I said, that was in 1994. Since then, I am still reading.
