Right. And my point is that "doing something" while actively denying
the nature of the problem is NOT tenable.

Let's say for the sake of argument the "a Democratic politician named
Obama" couldn't have raised the issue in the way that I would like to
see it raised. What is stopping labor leaders from calling on him to
address the issue? I've got a story here from last week about the
executive council of the AFL-CIO calling for a massive "second (sic)
economic stimulus package." Nothing about shorter working time in
there.
