To say oil is drying up could impart two messages: 1. oil prices will rise further/stay high taxing consumers and benefiting oligarchacs ( a tad below shale oil cost)... 2. oil is becoming too expensive and then we should find an cheaper alternative that is nature friendly.
Chances are, given the lopsided structure of power wielded by the upper classes, there will be little of 2 and lots of 1. I kind of have come to know that capitalist ideology creates phantasmagorical myth aimed at deluding and usurping all at once. the oil story is one such myth. the world can gradually do without it and fewer lives would be lost both in wars related to oil and in diseases generated by the consumption of oil. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
