Actually drone attacks are an efficient alternative to prisons. They are also more efficient than the legal system. Think of the funds that are spent on apprehending criminals, collecting evidence, and having criminals go through the court system, often with the result that those apprehended are found not guilty. How much simpler to simply target them with drones with little evidence and even that not revealed on grounds of national security. Drones will pay for themselves in no time plus they will act as a stimulus for the funeral industry.
