Jim Devine (and others) ^^^^^ With respect to whether the form of exchange in socialism should according to Marx be based labor time, is his implication , if not explicit statement that it is "each according to work" in socialism ? For Marx there is a transitional first phase of Communism, which is not "each according to need". I look at Critique of the Gotha Programme, but I think there or somewhere there is mention of a notion of labor chits or somesuch.
There is still surplus value extracted from the workers , but it goes to a social fund, not to the accumulation of private capital. Continuing to measure value based on work time is a basis for cost-accounting for overall planning , etc., no ? Labor theory of value continues as a measuring mechanism. _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
