Well I'm sorry Shane, but you are just wrong about that.

Green politicians in fact hold parliamentary positions in many countries. But
even if they don't, many political parties have Green policies, there are often
Ministries for the Environment, and numerous NGO's, quango's, lobby groups and
sponsored environmental organizations sporting an extensive apparatus of
officials. The "Green" brand does sell!

Only in the crudest Marxist fantasies is the ability to form bureaucracies
dependent on holding state power.

I realize that my satirical model may not fully describe reality, but,
analogous to a Weberian ideal type, it aims to identify only some salient
features of envirotyrants. Just how apt the description is, can be gauged from
the immediate vile reaction of Louis Proyect, for whom "green" is a sort of
mantra, a button to God's love as it were.

Just have a look at the lifestyle and politics of that rich stinker Al Gore, if
you want to understand something about it.

When "Marxists" embrace Greenism, typically everything they learnt about class
analysis just flies out the window, which is to say that they never learnt it
properly anyway.
