Obama is more afraid of them than of us. That is him. He is not a control variable. He's part of the data. *We* need propaganda, agitation, and organization. Lots of it. We need to press our raw demands: jobs, schools, health care, infrastructure, and -- of course -- no wars! We are not only addressing the powers. We are addressing one another, because we need to jell, reduce the dispersion, organize. Take the initiative, Doug. You have the connections. Think big. I'll be your soldier. Yesterday, the US conference of mayors called to end the wars (http://technorati.com/politics/article/mayors-conference-calls-to-end-war/). NPR's story said it and then it went to interview at length two mayors who dissented! One of those idiots claimed that the mayors of the cities where the vast majority of Americans live had no right to try to influence foreign policy. The other idiot claimed that the US had to do both, wage wars and deal with its domestic problems -- I guess, like it does now. I called WNYC to complain about this. I don't know if they listened, but a few minutes later, WNYC had a repeat of the story without the dissenters, and rather expanding on the views of mayors who favored the resolution. That's an opening for the left. This summer, we need tons of propaganda, agitation, organization, and action. I don't care if we are a dispersed multiple-personality disorder type of left -- but let's take action already! _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
