Take my brother, for example.  He's livid that we have debt and is
certain that we must cut it or suffer greatly.  His arguments derive
from "common sense": if we were a family, we'd have so much income,
spend so much, and have so much debt, etc., and he thinks our current
government/public balances are out of whack with this simple picture.

CB:   Doesn't mean a huge percentage of the followers of the TP other
than your brother aren't motivated by white supremacy.   The whole
Reaganite narrative was "Government is too big... because of spending
on Black welfare queens".   Deficit hawkism is attack welfare spending
by claiming the deficit is too high.



Is your brother for raising taxes on the rich and cutting the military
budget, the best ways to balance the budget ? If not....
