He's not a "celebrity author." He's a brilliant anthropologist who can't get a 
job because of his politics. 

Copy editing these days is very bad. I got one of his earlier books and there 
must have been three errors per page. I'll be sending him a long list of 
proofs.

Well, right back at you: what does it say about you that you are so 
willing to blame an unnamed copy-editor so that your favorite 
celebrity author does not have to suffer the indignity of, gasp, 
admitting that he, like an ordinary human being, actually made a 
mistake?
