A morning-after broadcast email from Richard Trumka, head of the AFL-CIO, has this denial for its second paragraph, opening sentence in bold: "Last night, Wisconsin took back its Senate. While Gov. Walker remains in office after being only the third governor in American history subjected to the humiliation of a recall, his divisive agenda has been stopped cold."
Meanwhile, the attack on public employees and on the education, a large portion of health care, and the other vital services they perform moves to California. Governor Jerry Brown has a November ballot proposal based on this platform. Was there a caucus of public workers in Wisconsin who advocated a program of counterattack and defense against the scapegoating of public workers? The demands would include an end to spiking, equal pension accrual per year of service without regard to salary level, and taxes on the rich. Charles Andrews No Rich, No Poor raghu wrote: When asked to choose between two sides one representing public unions and the other representing corporate interests, the people of Wisconsin chose the corporate interests. Anyone offering any other interpretation is just deluding themselves. _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
