UVA's faculty (assuming that's what you mean by "the school") is about as left-liberal as right-wing caricatures of academia might have you believe. The whole episode is strongly reminiscent of a near-identical scenario at ye olde alma mater, the College of William and Mary, four years ago. (We never let anyone forget that UVA's founder, Mr. Jefferson, is our alumnus.) http://www.forstudentpower.org/blog/2008/02/14/william-mary-set-explode-over-fired-president-updated The W&M experience was much better than UVA's in some regards ("General strike, dude!") and worse in others (we still lost). -- "Hige sceal þe heardra, heorte þe cenre, mod sceal þe mare, þe ure mægen lytlað."
