I don't know that that's a joke as much as the literal truth! W&M's
basically a top liberal arts college with a bunch of unwieldy appendages,
tacked on by academic empire-builders over the centuries, weighing it down.
Rationally planning an entire institution from scratch, as Jefferson did,
clearly offers some advantages. I think W&M's a little better in its core
strength - undergraduate liberal arts - but for everything else, Cavs win.
