And I didn't even get to the Trinity Formula with its ghostly
personifications: "capital -- interest, land -- ground rent, labour --
wages"!

Faced with the flotsam and jetsam of two millennia of reductionist
ideological bricolage, I'm not holding my breath waiting for the adoption
of a rigorous theory of events. Besides, the Stoic terms -- and Locke's --
can readily be interpreted as events. A *lock* is both a noun and a verb.
In fact, the (*n.*) *mechanism* for fastening a door is ineffectual unless
it is actively (*v.t.*) *fastened*.
