I noticed that you scrupulously avoid defining exactly what/who you mean
when you say "the DP". Indeed, being slippery about this is very important;
otherwise you will not be able to invent silly strawmen to make cheap
rhetorical points against fictitious opponents.

Let us deconstruct this a bit.

"The DP" could mean DP-1: office-holders, donors and power brokers of the
Democratic Party.

"The DP" could also mean DP-2: all registered voters, activists, volunteers
and supporters of the Democratic Party. DP-2 represents about 40% of the
entire voting population of the US.

So you pull a nice bait-and-switch here. The DP-1 is obviously corrupt.
Therefore it follows that anyone who wishes to engage with segments of the
DP-2 is basically fraternizing with The Enemy.

Some logic this.
