never mind. I got in.

The problem with a blog is that stuff that ought to be preserved gets old
and disappears into archives. I think a PEN-L blog with a bunch of PEN-L
authors , if this is what you had in mind, would be a good thing. But the
value-added may be in a wiki that can be an archive for stuff found all over
the web. People post documents here as it is, but they get lost in the
archives. A wiki would be a way to organize and make easily accessible a
lot of material that people routinely gather and post links to here. The
idea of an online encyclopedia from the PEN-L multitudes is interesting to
me. It allows people to contribute who don't have the time or inclination
to set up their own web sites.

I started to try and do this on my own site. I have a big pile of articles
on imperialism, but the job of organizing them with links and all was too
daunting.

Subject: blog interest?

folks,

i haven't heard back from any of you regarding the trial blog i setup at:

http://www.rationalfools.com/blog/

i was going to setup a wiki next. would that be of more interest than a
blog? or is there not enough interest, right now, for either?
