As the saying goes, Doug, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder: I see many signs of a serious systemic threat coming, from the "riots" in France to the protests against FTAA in Argentina, to Sarbanes-Oxley, to the attempts to regulate the hedge funds, to the unstoppable rise of corporate governance debates, to Katrina and New Orleans, to what have you. It is possible that the time is not ripe for a revolution, but we are already too late to start pushing a very strong reformist agenda; all of us, in our respective countries. Not to mention that it is possible also that we have already entered an era of revolutions, counter-revolutions and wars, coming to this theater soon, if they had not started showing quite a while ago.
