Are you saying that marxism is a cult? I agree 100%,
Cults *also* insist that the 'veils' (or whatever) must be lifted
systematically before the follower will understand. I think Marx, Lenin,
others were speaking *plain* language, unveiled. No interpretation
required.
Too simple to be coopted that way though.
It's the elitists, opportunists amd pedants that require one to be able
to "recite Grundisse", whoever that person was, as a bar to entry in
their little 'intellectual's club'.
I mean was Grundisse writing Marxism's bible concordance, or what?
I might look him up later, but I'm really, really very busy at the local
and interpersonal level right now attempting to change the society and
culture where I am, to something more humane and equitable.
It takes a life lived committed, and it doesn't need interpretation by
others, or study groups.
It's simple, anyone can do it. But you have to put your 'way of life' on
the line.
Stan Goff has done that, and it doesn't matter if he's a marxist or not.
...and I pretty sure that he cares less how anyone might critique his
analysis because he knows that 99.9% of the people who are going to
critique him are self-centered opportunistic losers.
