CB: I'm thinking he writes ( and knows) sufficiently about the key thing: All the booty brought back to Europe and accumulated there to get things going.
But he never really writes about class relations in Latin America (or anywhere in Africa) in any kind of depth. Where he does write in little bit more depth about Asia, he gets it wrong with the whole notion of the Asiatic Mode of production. He was a human being and not a god.
