My understand, from years of doing sound reinforcement, remote broadcasts/recording (ten years with KUSP radio @ the Monterey Jazz Festival) and having to deal with 'board taping', musicians copyrights (even for interviews!) etc, I can state with some authority that despite the hysteria regarding the digital millennium copyright act etc, it is absolutely legitimate to make a copy of any music from a source such as a CD you own, an internet stream paid for (as I pay real.com for access to KPIG, and furthermore, their management KNOWS I re-distribute the Travus T. Hipp Commentaries WITH his permission) or not.
But file sharing is illegal... and should be. To the legions of file-sharers out there, I only have one piece of advice... Rip it yourself stupid. Leigh \ \ > On 12/30/07, Louis Proyect <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > > DOWNLOAD UPROAR: RECORD INDUSTRY > > GOES AFTER PERSONAL USE > >
