Hi I'm wondering if there exists an updated patch for oprofile userspace (matching v2.6.27-perfmon2 from the kernel git tree)? I'd ask on the oprofile list but since perfmon2 never went into mainline I thought I might get a better answer here.
The most recent patch I could find was here: http://marc.info/?l=oprofile-list&m=117148152811566&w=2 http://marc.info/?l=oprofile-list&m=117149438313047&w=2 It took a bit of work to get this building with oprofile 0.9.4 on ia64 (still have to look at the no_xen stuff) but more problematic is that I'm running into ia64 failures calling pfm_write_pmcs which I think may be related to available pmcs. Before I go digging I figured I'd see if anything newer is available? Interest is ia64 only. Thanks!
