Of course. Mainline/ia64 is the 2.0 version. I was trying to get a version of oprofile working compatible with the perfmon2 (git:v2.6.27-perfmon2) kernel interface but the oprofile patch referenced in my initial post isn't working on ia64. The compat mode in this patch (using the compat/sys_perfmonctl kernel interface) doesn't work either. I guess I have some debugging to do. Thanks for the reply.
