While you are at it would you care to try to install modules from CPAN onto Active Perl running on Vista? It just seems a world of grief; although identical installs are great under XP. I just flat gave up using Vista for Perl. I feel sad, but what can one do?

I was running dmake test for Tk. Under CPAN this would have lead to a

Thanks. When I get a moment I'll fire up a Win32 box and see if I can reproduce it with stock Perl.
