Hello again,
Thanks for the help! I just finally got Win32::GUI 202 working with
5.00402! Yahoo!
But... I was hoping that I'd be able to work with the latest release of
Win32::GUI. This I have not been able to do. I've tried activestate
builds 469 and 522, GS 5.00402, and nsPerl 5.005something. I think
that's all of the binary distributions out there... aside from the
activestate builds between the two I tried.
I have had some trouble installing some software on this NT system, so I
think it's somehow broken - maybe missing a dll or something. Could this
be why I always get an error?
I've gotten Parse Exception errors mostly, but occassionally I'll get a
"routine PSV_something() not found in perl.dll blah blah", or something
else. Curiously, I've been able to print $Win32::GUI::VERSION at the
command line, but have never been able to run hello.pl from the samples.
Finally, to cut to the question/s:
Is there a binary build on which Win32::GUI will run? What is it? Do you
think I need to reinstall NT to use Win32::GUI, or do I have to compile
some other version of perl I have not yet tried?
Thanks again for any help!
James
