Well, Jan, on this mailing list we have heard so much about modules not
being available yet for 5.6 (and haven't seen any of Murray's "new
modules" lists in a while, the one on the website is 5+ months old, but
we can always "ppm verify" them for now), that some of us just can't
upgrade yet. Which brings me to two followup questions: Are the future
Win32 modules going to be in any way shape or form compatible with 5.005
(I would appreciate 0.16, just to tide me over)? and Might one of you at
ActiveState put up on one of the main pages of the website (say the PPM
main page or the AP download page) a link to an updated list of modules
which are ppm'able for 5.6 (and maybe even a comparison with the
versions still available for 5.005, in a table maybe) so we can see if
what we need is available quickly without having to dig down, before we
upgrade. Such data stuck out there in plain sight will eventually
provide a compelling reason to upgrade for even the most stubborn of us
late-adopters (like me ;) ).
Thanks for your consideration,
Cameron
