I'm pretty sure Perl 5 just does whatever the underlying system does. At lesat I don't remember ever writing any Configure tests to do otherwise, and a quick look doesn't turn up anything obvious, and I don't think the test suite specifically tests for it. -- Andy Dougherty [EMAIL PROTECTED]
