Hi Lauren If your booklice are just like those in the photo, then they are *Dorypteryx*, probably *domestica*, though there is another species, *longipennis*, which might turn up. *Dorypteryx domestica* are being found in more places across the country, often associated with paper artifacts (including watercolours). They seem to stop short of doing much damage, but it's worth monitoring them. While they are probably feeding on mould, as Katy says they are a sign that things may be a little damp at times. Knowing where they are concentrated will help in pinpointing trouble spots. Best wishes Tony
