Hi Julie *Trixagus *(Throscidae) - one of the "False Click Beetles". They turn up occasionally in collections, but as far as I am aware, no-one is sure why. The natural habitat appears to be mycorrhiza associated with tree roots. Thankfully it's not *Stegobium*. Best wishes Tony
