Yes, those are fruit flies and they almost always lay their eggs in discarded fruit, peels, cores etc. May be breeding in trash cans where people discard food. Perhaps there is an old apple in the back of a drawer or under a desk? Or a hidden trash receptacle that has not been emptied? If there is no damp food to eat they cannot breed/pupate, etc. And you have a LOT of them. This is not incidental from outside. Could be old coffee grounds, houseplants, etc, but it must a damp source of food. The tray under the coffee machine that catches spills? If it has not been emptied and cleaned recently?
