Hi Laruen, I have used the “Impulse Sealer” for years. They come in different sizes and different models, depending on your needs. Look for ones with replacement parts and a rheostat to control the heat. The ones I like sit on a surface and are portable. Some have a cutter, which is handy. These come in different lengths (8”, 12” etc). If you need to shape the seal – rather than just a straight seal, then a heavy duty hand held sealer (6”) is good. (I am not at the lab so cannot give you the brands)
