I cannot tell from the graphic how bad it really is,, but just from my gut reaction I feel this is a terrible idea. Seems like a great way to age the bindings and the paper in books at an alarming rate. Besides, I doubt if 30 seconds of rifling air through the pages in the presence of UV will disinfect anything. And, how do they get 6 books in there and ensure every page gets exposed? It seems to me this machine belongs in a library as part of a sci-fi story, not a treatment procedure... But I am old and jaded and skeptical of everything these days, so maybe get another opinion...!
