Hi Guys,

My name is Richard I am new to the PLUG, just signed up to the mailing list
a few days ago, and new to linux, you'll hear more about my set up
below....

First off, I am sorry if this is too basic or if anyone has covered this
before but I really need some help here. And yes I really am a noob, but I
really want to pick up linux as a workable alternative to the next windows
upgrade, Vista.

I know you cant really comapre these two operating systems, but coming from
a windows background I cant help it, so I appologise for any offense.

Now on to the request...

Being ever the geek I like working from a CLI, I am running Fedora Core 4
and I boot to runlevel 3 (text only - multiuser).

Trouble is, I hate the standard white text and I want to geek it up a bit by
having green text on black background. I found a command to do this, which I
have given below:

*setterm -foreground green *

However I find that as soon as I run a simple command like *ls*, the colour
returns to default, and once this is acheived, I would also like this to be
automatically set to green on boot up, ie I dont want to have to login first
and then set this command each time.

Hope you can help.

Regards

Richard
