I am planning to be there wherever it is!

As I could not make the meeting held in the Rugby club I cannot comment.
Needless to say access to the Internet, and a seemingly inexhaustible
supply of network points and mains sockets is a great advantage!!

If possible I would like help getting VNC running on Ubuntu! I have
tried VNC4server via Synaptic. It goes in OK, I have followed the
intructions I found, but still cannot get it to work!

Not something silly like firewall? VNC needs Port 5900 open.

Also, sorry, here's me jumping to conclusions, what exactly is not working,
the service not running or connection to the server not running?

As per meeting, me too, Im also planning to be at the next meeting, never
been to Rugby club, my first time was in More Solutions Workshop. If theres
enough room I'd like to bring my "Goliath" down, (full tower) running Ubuntu
Feisty, looking kinda sweet actually, just 2 issues, no WLAN so running
hardwired for now (but i know what to do to resolve that), and also seems to
have issues playing video files while in Beryl mode, also noticed some
windows "lock up" on me in Beryl Mode, as soon as I go back to normal mode,
its fine. Minor issues really but still, its oh so much fun to play with.

Depends how much room is availiable I might just bring the tower and borrow
someone elses MKMPN* (if thats OK) for a few minutes just so we can power it
up breifly and have a play.

*Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Power, Network

Cheers
