I will shortly be setting up a POP3 mailbox server on a rented virtual machine, running Debian etch. It will be a small set up with just a half dozen or so users.
So far, I've always used UW ipopd. However, there seem to be several POP3 servers available for etch, including Courier, Cyrus, Dovecot, GNU mailutils, qpopper, Solid, Teapop and XMail. Does anyone have any views about what is good, what to avoid and why?
