What's involved in setting one up? It would be nice to include the setup as part of the exercise unless its a major job (and perhaps even more so if it is a major job!) I might be able to pull together some hardware although I'm a bit lacking at the moment, but I have no idea what's required.

I've got as far as burning the iso :-)

I put Edubuntu desktop on a Dell laptop OK as dual boot with XP. This isn't that relevant as the thin client AIUI will boot over the LAN from the server.

Presumably one has to have a client image on the server that will fit the hardware available, unless it does some sort of on-the-fly config.

As I also have a low end PC here at the moment that could be a client I'll try to at least have a go at setting up a server and 1 or 2 clients. Should give a feel for the scope of the multi-cook broth making experience that may lay ahead :-)

For the meeting a couple of old PCs with LAN connections could be the clients. AIUI you can't LAN-boot over wifi ?
