Mostly a question of importing products that don't belong on this market, or buying uncertified "cheap stuff" from eBay. HomePlug uses OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing) with a total of 1155 available subcarriers. Any subcarrier that directly overlaps with (or causes harmonic distortion in) allocated radio spectrum will be turned off before the product ships. Especially if you know what testing a product goes through before that little FCC ID appears on it... it makes actual retail products causing this very unlikely. With regard to "cheap stuff", there is a documented case of a baby monitor in Luton interfering with aircraft radio traffic: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/3926029.stm If you keep to normal retail channels Mark, I wouldn't worry.
