Just a quick note from http://petsc.cs.iit.edu/petsc/BuildSystem/rev/b8702c0c34ab
"libnetcdf_c++.a not created by the new version?" Correct. Starting with version 4.2 NetCDF has split C++ and Fortran bindings into separate packages. See their announcement for more information, http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/blogs/news/entry/netcdf_4_2_release P.S. Is it that hard to make the first line of the commit message the summary? E.g. "netcdf: update to 4.2.1.1"? In both mercurial and git, the first line of the commit message is used as the subject. This makes reading commits *much* easier.
