As a follow up to this..., I just finished the polygon stretching/expansion, 
and location within containers.  It maybe could be written better.  The diffs 
and a couple gifs will be up at:

In a few secs.  So, last piece to solve is calculation of the clip rectangle, 
somehow getting that to the drawing routine, and then implementing clipping 
within the drawing routine.
