True, but the Consumer line is probably the best fit for "bleeding
edge" servers.  It's very often been the case that whenever I needed
something new (e.g., version 2 of cyrus-sasl), all I had to do was
wait a few months, and it would be in the next Consumer release.
(That's a big win--time I don't have to spend maintain my own RPMs is
time I can spend on other things.)

All I was trying to say was that although I know that Red Hat has a
strong financial motivation to gently herd people towards the
Enterprise line, there *is* legitimate reason to use the Consumer line
product in an Enterprise environment.  Push, but push gently.

Doubtful.  We're education/government; I doubt I'd be able to justify
the price tag for custom engineering.  (AS was out of our price
range.)
