If I'm not mistaken, weren't you one of the ones giving my good friend
Mr. Lowell a hard time on the Psyche list?

And that *was* asked humorously, I was just expressing my thoughts on
companies wanting you to call them for more information instead of
disclosing it to the public. It makes me think other customers may not
receive the same answers. It is much easier to set different terms up
on the phone than via email.

It was posted in the best interest of all. It would be nice to get the
information out in public, in writing.

I for one, believe that the purchase of the Enterprise Workstation comes
with a year of updates, through the use of up2date, whether it's the RHN
or whatever, as long as up2date -u gets me the upgrades. It would be
nice if the initial year costs the amount shown on the website, and
subsequent years are $60/year until product EOL, but I doubt that will
happen.

I do have a question regarding the phones. Someone may know the answer.
Do the sales reps at Red Hat actually pass along comments by customers
on the phone, or are they discarded as soon the customer hangs up? I
know of too many companies who just discard comments and assume they
know what the customer wants, or rather, they tell the customer what
they want. And yes, once again, I have issues when it comes to customer
service. In my experience, it does not exist anymore.

It would be a nice surprise to find out it does exist at Red Hat. I
follow the Mandrake Lists as well, and believe me, it is done their way.
They have the company and a few main volunteer developers. They make
the decisions and tell you if you don't like it, you can write whatever
you want. If you find a bug, they want you to fix it. I'm still
curious what Mandrake customers pay for. I'm really not sure if they
have actual developers on the payroll or if they leach off the community
at large. I KNOW Red Hat has developers on the payroll, and their
developers DO fix bugs, and the developers DO care about the product.

Ok, enough ranting for now. Thank you for your time :-)

Where's that troll-o-meter at? I think we just hit a 7.5~8
