I agree about the convenience.
I've only dealt with Wyatt's a handful of times, but I have always been treated
fairly.

Dwayne is always helpful and likes to talk about the history of the machine I
happen to be working on at the time. Especially of late with a Columbia AH
motor board that I'm having him work on. These machines are noisy anyway, but
this one sounded like a thrashing machine when running.

Dwayne spent about ten minutes on the phone with me today explaining the
changes in design that took place after my particular model was made and why
they were made. He also shared some neat facts about patent issues that they
faced when trying to move to a new motor design.

I appreciated the personal service of speaking to someone rather than cold
e-mails or web sites.

I like technology, but the personal touch is still best for me.

I don't deal with Dwayne much, but in those cases that I have, I never
resented the "illegal" extra charge for using a credit card. I know that it is
illegal, but I figure it is worth the convenience to know that it will be
shipped out that same day or the next.

I actually think he is easier to get in contact with because he is on the
west coast. With the three hour time difference, I can call him after I get
out of work and he is still open.

What is Wyatt's selling them for now? I only deal with Wyatt's out of
desperation. They are hard to reach for and east coaster with their "phone
hours" and lack of on-line ordering, Plus, they (illegally) charge a
surcharge for credit card use so I have to have extra cash on hand, send
them a check wait for the check to get there, probably wait for the check to
clear and then wait for the item to be shipped.

As far as I know Expert is the only one who makes new DD stylus and it comes
already mounted in the bar. The reason Wyatt lowered the price is Expert
uses the old bar and gives a discount when you send them old bars. Most
dealers will give you $5 for an old bar.
