[Phono-L] Adjusting a Thorens TD 170 tonearm pickup?

I have a newer Thorens TD 170 that I use occasionally to play my 78's.  A 
problem that I have been having is the tone arm's automatic pickup ending some 
of 
my records before completion.  Does anyone know how to set this pickup, as I 
have lost my owner's manual?
