Yes, it's a one-piece deal, just like the No.2 gasket.  I had an HMV 
portable sent from
England a while ago (before the exchange rate made that a bad idea!) and it 
has a No.4
reproducer.  When I took it apart, I found that the gasket was still very 
soft, so I left well-
enough alone !
