YES.  That's right.  Now I recall that a whole series of inexpensive  
table model R/P combinations from RCA, made from 1939 until wartime  
stopped production in '42, had the word Victrola under the lid.   
These mostly had AC-DC (transformerless) chassis and more often had  
simple turntables rather than changers (although they produced both  
types).  I would expect that some of the floor models at higher  
prices also had Victrola under the lid?;  Seems like starting around  
1938?  This would close the gap down to about decade, unless others  
are aware of an exception that narrows the distance further.
