I wonder if either of the 'two appraisers' has a name...

This one seems to be an overenthusiastic seller with a misinformed sense of
value, and not a scam artist. They probably saw some rare recording sell for
megabucks in some other auction and figured that any old record might be
worth big money. Nevertheless...caveat emptor...

Here again is another reason why this list is valuable. Many of us know the
realities of the values of phonograph and related items, but there are
probably dozens or more lurkers just watching who benefit from the
education.
